Ayana Jade at Somerset House’s 25th Anniversary “Step Inside, Think Outside' summer shop

Ayana Jade was pleased to present its collection at Somerset House’s 25th anniversary “Step Inside, Think Outside” Summer Shop, held from 22 July to 28 September.

As part of Somerset House’s 25th anniversary celebrations, Ayana Jade presented its collection at the “Step Inside, Think Outside” Summer Shop, running from 22 July to 28 September.

Set within one of London’s most recognised cultural destinations, the Summer Shop created an opportunity for visitors to encounter the collection in person. Guests explored hoop and huggie earrings, necklaces, bracelets and charms crafted using undyed jadeite (fei cui) jade and recycled precious metals, designed and made in the UK and hallmarked here.

The collection reflects Ayana Jade’s design philosophy: working with the full spectrum of jadeite colour rather than limiting the material to the most familiar greens. Within the Living Colour Palette, tones range from fresh greens and cloudy whites to refined greys, each stone carrying its own character and visual identity.

Visitors approached the pieces in different ways. Some were discovering jadeite for the first time. Others were searching for a meaningful piece for themselves or a jade anniversary or birthday gift. What united the conversations was an appreciation for jewellery that carries authenticity, material integrity and quiet distinction.

Events like the Somerset House Summer Shop also illustrate how design, materials and storytelling come together. Jewellery is one expression of that thinking at Ayana Jade. Through Education & Advisory, we also explore how circular design and materials strategy can translate into stronger product thinking and credible sustainability practice.
